The rapid growth of China's automotive industry is driving the development of other related supporting industries, particularly the rubber industry. Over the past few years, automotive rubber products have developed into a distinct and specialized product sector. Automotive rubber products are an essential component of automotive parts. Excluding tires, rubber material consumption varies depending on vehicle specifications, ranging from 15 to 60 kilograms. Automotive rubber products (excluding tires) account for approximately 6% of a vehicle's total cost. There are over 1,000 varieties of non-tire rubber products used in the automotive industry, encompassing over 8,000 specifications. Statistics show that the automotive industry accounts for over 70% of global annual raw rubber consumption, with tires accounting for 60% and automotive rubber product accessories for 40%.

Classification of Automotive Rubber Products and Their Functions in Automobiles:

Rubber tires are often called the "legs" of a car, and their crucial role in the vehicle is self-evident. Tires are the rubber product that consumes the most rubber in the rubber industry, so they are often separated from other rubber products and designated as a separate category within the industry. Among automotive parts, rubber tires are a specialized accessory.

Automotive rubber sealing products are categorized into three main categories: O-rings, oil seals, and sealing strips. O-rings and oil seals are installed in engines, gearboxes, automobile main shafts, and hydraulic and pneumatic transmission systems to prevent the leakage of lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, and other liquids or gases, ensuring the proper functioning of all components and systems. They also prevent external impurities such as sand, dust, and other impurities from entering the system and affecting its operation. O-rings and oil seals are primarily used to seal rotating or reciprocating shafts. Sealing strips are primarily used in automotive doors, windows, trunks, hoods, and other areas, providing sealing, wind and rain protection, shock absorption, and sound insulation.
